My First & My Next Triathlons

Swim Course
Swim ¼ along the shores of Moses Lake at Herron Park(Formerly Moses Lake State Park). Athletes who feel uncomfortable swimming can stay close to shore enabling them stand up and take a break during the event. The water temperature will be mid to low 70's degrees F. Wetsuits are not required.

Bike Course
12 miles out and back from Herron Park on a closed to traffic roadway, the course is pancake flat with only little climbs over the overpass.

The course takes athletes adjacent to I-90 next to Pothole Lakes.

The entire route is paved, athletes may use a road bike or a mountain bike. A road bike is faster but a mountain bike lets you check out the scenery better.

Run Course
3 miles out and back from Herron Park towards the City of Moses Lake, it is mostly pancake flat with only slight hills to go over bridges. The entire route is paved.

Relay Teams
Relay Teams will hand off at the transition zone, the athletes must shake hands, smile at each other to make the transfer complete.

Morning Registration and Check in
Athletes must check in at least one hour prior to the start of their event. Day before check in will be announced on this website closer to the event day.

Awards
Athletes will receive an official finishers medallion from World Endurance Sport upon finishing the event.

Safety Rules
Athletes must wear a bike helmet for the entire bike ride.

While biking athletes must not ride within 2 bike lengths of another bike.

Athletes must walk their bikes while entering and exiting the transition zone.

Transition Zone
We have a designated area at Herron Park to place your bike and run gear while you are swimming. When you arrive in the morning you may place your bike in the bike racks, then pick up your number, unless you have done this the evening before. Transition zone is secured and for athletes only.

Body Marking
Yes! We are going to write on you! We mark your race number on your left shoulder and the back of you calf. Do not worry we are all qualified professionals at Body Marking and do not take any pleasure in writing on you.

Volunteers
Body marking athletes is fun and is one of the best activities, no experience required other than a steady hand. There are many other fun activities as well, email us at Volunteer@Triathlons.net for more information about volunteering.

Results
Results will be posted on line within 48 hours of the finish of the event at www.Tri101.com.
